- Formal Outdoor Leadership and Bushwalking Experience
- Qualifications in Outdoor Leadership and/or Ecotourism
- Wilderness First Aid (or equivalent)
- CPR Qualifications
- National Parks EcoPass
- Comprehensive Insurance - Affinity Insurance
- Compliance with Australian Adventure Activity Standards (AAAS)
- Extensive Risk Management frameworks aligned with WHS and SafeWork NSW
- Child safety and child protection requirements and policies
- All staff must have valid Working With Children Checks
- Training in emergency communication systems (including Satellite phones, Garmin inReach and Personal Locator Devices (PLB's))
- Experience delivering structured journey-based expedition programs
- Experience and training in youth mentoring and support for the Duke of Edinburgh
- Partner with the official International Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Trained Duke of Edinburgh Award leaders
